Birdwatch Ireland Limerick outing

Last sunday I took the Limerick Branch of Birdwatch Ireland for a walk along the Shannon in Limerick City to see what birds could be found. With the sun shining it was a great day for it. With over 32 birds seen in 2 hours I always find these outings are a great way to build up your year list. Birds seen on the day included a dark phase Icelandic gull, Ring-bill gull, Lesser Blck-back gull, Herring Gull, Common Gull, Black-headed gull, oystercatchers, Cormorant, Mute Swan, Teal, Shoveler, Pochard, Tufted Duck, Mallard, Coot, Moorhen, Sparrowhawk, Grey Crow, Rook, Jackdaw, Feral Pigeon, Wood Pigeon, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Coal Tit, Long-tail Tit, Chaffinch, Green Finch, Pied Wagtail, Grey Wagtail, Robin, Wren,
