As you can see I`ve haven`t been updating my blog due to my starting back at college. So I will try to update it when I get out birding at the weekends. I took a trip to Cork today as there was a Woodchat Shrike there all week. Thankfully he stuck around and I got so great views of him. These birds don`t summer here so any sighting is a good one. I also had around 11 White Wagtails, another bird that is only passing through. Other birds of note were Yellowhammer (Thats the third county I`ve seen them in now) Common Buzzard, Sparrow Hawk, Stonechat, Pale-bellied Brent Geese (200 Birds still hanging around) Shellduck, Linnets, Little Egrets, Chiffchaffs, Sedge Warblers and many many more. So a fantastic days birding had in all.Chiffchaffs are well and truly in.
Not the best of shots, but any Buzzard shot in Ireland is a good one.
